Work of members of Parliament

The 95 Members of the Parliament of Western Australia make and amend laws, debate public policy, scrutinise the work of government and represent their constituents.



Ministers and Shadow Ministers

Ministers form Cabinet that runs Government and are responsible for government portfolios. Ministers are assisted in their duties by Parliamentary Secretaries.
Shadow Ministers are members of the Opposition allocated 'shadow' portfolios that usually match those of the Government.
