DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION —
FUNDING
169. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Minister for Education and
Training:
I refer to comments made by the
Premier in the other place on 13 February 2019, when he said —
The government is on track to spend
$26.5 billion on education in its first term.
(1) What is the
breakdown of the $26.5 billion referred to by the Premier over each year of the
government's term?
(2) For each of
the totals identified by year in (1), what is the breakdown of funding provided
by the state and commonwealth governments?
(3) With regard
to the state funding amounts by year identified in (2), what is the breakdown
of funding for recurrent and capital purposes?
Hon SUE
ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) The answer is in
tabular form, so I seek leave to have it incorporated into Hansard.
