Parliament House and Grounds will be open to the public on Friday, 16 April 2021 as part of Heritage Perth Weekend 2021 – Boorloo Kwedjang Bardip Yanginy.
This year Heritage Perth Weekend includes ‘Family Friday’ to encourage children and families to explore, learn and engage with Perth’s rich past.
Building tours, including the Parliamentary Library and Members Dining Room, will run hourly from 9-4 pm. Tours are free but bookings are essential. There will be activities on the forecourt for children and families, as well as a 1919 panorama of the view of Perth city from Parliament House. A special Heritage Hunt will take families through the grounds to uncover the treasures around Parliament House.
A highlight of Inside and Out @ Your Parliament House will be a glimpse into the refurbished Fountains offices, which have retained many of the iconic heritage-listed features of the old Fountains.
