The Legislative Assembly was a hive of activity and lively debate on Friday 15 September, as teams battled it out for the
UN Youth Western Australia's Evatt Trophy Competition Grand Final.
The competition allowed high school students to debate, negotiate and resolve issues by participating in a mock Security Council. In teams of two, delegates were assigned a country, and they then developed their stance on a prepared resolution from their country's perspective.
This annual competition provides a forum for students to meet other like-minded peers and develop their public speaking and negotiation skills.
