The 30th
Parliamentary Research Program launched with members, students and university representatives attending an orientation on 5 August. This 12-week program pairs members of Parliament with university students to research topics of public interest. Participants enjoyed a tour of the building, followed by a presentation with guest speakers, including members, a university supervisor and a former student. Participating members and students also had the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas about their research topics. This year, 21 students will contribute to a growing number of research reports that have helped shape our state. Completed reports will be added to the Parliamentary Library's collection.
