Women in the WA Parliament: an annotated Bibliography
28 May 2024
Our Presiding Officers recently launched a new publication titled 'Women in the WA Parliament: an annotated Bibliography’. It took a century for the 100th woman,
Caitlin Collins MLA
to be elected in 2021, with women now occupying positions of high office across the Parliament. Commissioned by the Parliamentary History Advisory Committee and authored by Dr Niamh Corbett, this book is a tribute to all the women who have served in the Parliament. It provides valuable insights for students, researchers and historians. The Committee hopes that the book will encourage further exploration of the work of these women and provoke thought and conversation for everyone.
