Biosecurity and Agricultural Management Bill 2006
|Synopsis||The purpose of this Bill is to provide effective biosecurity and agriculture management for Western Australia. It will achieve this by establishing an effective means of:|
- controlling the entry, establishment, spread and impact of animal and plants pests and diseases;
- controlling the use of agricultural and veterinary chemicals;
- allowing standards to be set to ensure the saftey and quality of agricultural products; and
- enabling certain funds to be raised for biosecurity related purposes.

Royal Assent given 12 Oct 2007 as Act No. 23 of 2007. This Act comes into operation on a day fixed by Proclamation (see Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
