SynopsisThe purpose of this Bill is to implement the National Driver Licensing Scheme. The National Driver Licensing Scheme, developed in consultation with the States and Territories in accordance with the agreed National Road Transport Commission (NRTC) process, is aimed at achieving nationally consistent licensing processes and requirements.

StatusAssented to 10/26/2006
Royal Assent given 26 Oct 2006 as Act No. 54 of 2006. This Act comes into operation on a day fixed by Proclamation (see Assent and Commencement information for Acts)
