express concern regarding litter and its associated clean-up along the section of Highway 1 between Manjimup and Denmark bisecting the protected Walpole Wilderness Area. At a time of global concern regarding climate change, carbon capture and plastic pollution, preserving the Walpole Wilderness Area is of international significance.
We therefore ask the Legislative Council to support measures to ensure ongoing management of this litter, including the provision of appropriate funding to facilitate regular clean-up of Highway 1 bisecting the Walpole Wilderness.
