In November 2010 the Public Accounts Committee tabled its report into the best approaches to decision making for major infrastructure projects in Western Australia.
In that report the Committee noted the importance for Works Reform and the Strategic Asset Management Framework to be judged in accordance with their impact on the quality of the state’s infrastructure outcomes. To this end, the Committee will examine a small number of infrastructure projects each year to determine the degree to which the Strategic Asset Management Framework is being successfully applied and whether anticipated outcomes are being achieved.
The Committee will report the results of these investigations in its annual reports to the Legislative Assembly. |
