The Committee resolved to inquire and report on matters including the effectiveness, efficiency and economy of administrative processes used by government agencies relating to land clearing and arising from the Memorandum Of Understanding between the
1.	Commissioner of Soil and Land Conservation;
2.	Environmental Protection Authority;
3.	Department of Environmental Protection;
4.	Department of Agriculture Western Australia;
5.	Department of Conservation and Land Management; and
6.	Water and Rivers Commission,
for the protection of remnant vegetation on private land in the agricultural region of Western Australia.
