The busts of Sir John Forrest, first Premier of Western Australia, and Sir James Lee Steere, first Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, were sculpted by Italian born sculptor Pietro Giacomo Porcelli (1872-1943). The bust of Sir John Forrest is located in the ground floor in the Forrest foyer, and the bust of Sir James Lee Steere is outside the Legislative Assembly chamber.
