Terms of Reference:On 17 March 2010 the Economics and Industry Standing Committee resolved to inquire into and report on the Department of Environment and Conservation’s Management of Former Pastoral Leases.

In particular, the Committee will investigate the Department of Environment and Conservation’s:

  • management of pest animals and weeds;
  • preservation of pastoral heritage;
  • opportunities for improved management; and
  • consideration of the economic potential of non-pastoral uses for this land.
