Position Title:Administrative Assistant
Level and Salary:Level 3 $72,896 - $78,717 per annum + super + benefits

Primary Responsibilities and Additional Information:Applications are sought from suitably qualified persons for the full time position of Administrative Assistant with the Building Services unit of Parliamentary Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment with generous employment conditions.

Building Services is responsible for providing all building, grounds and ancillary services necessary to support the Members and sittings of the Parliament of Western Australia. The Parliamentary Services department offers generous employment conditions and a range of benefits such as access to free parking, health and well-being initiatives and professional development opportunities.

Key responsibilities
This position provides general administrative assistance to the unit including database management, meeting organisation, record keeping and archiving, as well as assisting with project coordination, preparation of business cases, project briefs and scopes of works, contract and contractor evaluation and reporting. This role liaises with internal team members to enable smooth running project management as well as with a diverse range of stakeholders such as Members of Parliament, staff and contractors including conducting contractor OSH inductions.

The successful applicant will need to meet the following selection criteria.
1. Three years’ experience in a similar position with two years’ experience in the building or facilities management industry.
2. Good written and oral communication skills.
3. Sound judgement, tact and discretion.
4. Very good computing skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
5. Some knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act.
