Position Title:Casual Kitchen Hand
Level and Salary:$32.02 – 32.91 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading (anticipated increase to $34.02-$34.91 per hour following General Agreement registration*)

Primary Responsibilities and Additional Information:The Parliamentary Refreshment Rooms provide Members of Parliament, staff and visitors with a variety of dining opportunities within Parliament House. Applications are invited from enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a strong work ethic who enjoy working in a team environment to join the Catering Services unit of the Parliament of Western Australia.

The successful candidate will need to have experience in a similar role, demonstrate exceptionally high standards in kitchen cleanliness and be familiar with Work Health and Safety and HACCP procedures.

This casual position is required to work weekdays only (no weekend work!). Rosters are drawn up well in advance to facilitate other working commitments.

Duties include pot washing, dishwashing, floor and wall cleaning, deep cleaning, changing deep fryer oils, waste disposal, crockery allocation for functions, paper towel replenishment, general kitchen cleaning duties, goods inwards assistance and some minor food preparation.
