WESTERN AUSTRALIAN PORT
OPERATIONS TASKFORCE — MEETINGS
635. Hon PETER COLLIER to
the Minister for Ports:
My question without notice of which
some notice has been given is asked on behalf of Hon Simon O'Brien, who
is away on urgent parliamentary business.
I refer to question without notice
503 asked on Thursday, 21 May 2020.
(1) Why have the
minutes of the WA Port Operations Taskforce meetings in February, March, April
and May 2020 not be made available on the Fremantle Ports website, as was
practised until December 2019?
(2) Who made the decision and/or
direction not to make the minutes publicly available?
(3) Will the minister now table the minutes of the task
force meetings from February, March, April and May 2020; and, if not,
why not?
Hon
ALANNAH MacTIERNAN replied:
I thank the member for the question.
(1) The practice
of posting minutes on the Fremantle Ports website was reviewed by Fremantle
Ports in consultation with the chair of the
WA Port Operations Taskforce. It was agreed that as the minutes were directly
provided to members by email, it was unnecessary to also publish them on the
Fremantle Ports website.
(2) The decision was made by Fremantle Ports in
consultation with the chair of the WA Port Operations Taskforce.
(3) I will review the documents to
determine whether tabling is appropriate.
