FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT — PRIVATE HEALTH
FACILITIES
1313. Hon ALISON XAMON to the Leader of the House
representing the Attorney General:
I refer to the proposal to extend
the Freedom of Information Act 1992 to privately operated health facilities
that provide public patient services pursuant to contracts with the Minister
for Health.
(1) Does the
McGowan government support this proposal?
(2) If yes to (1), when is it
anticipated that this reform will be undertaken?
(3) If no to (1), why not?
Hon SUE
ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) Given
the size and scope of the McGowan government's legislative agenda,
reforms to the Freedom of Information Act 1992 are not expected in this term of
government.
