MENTAL HEALTH COMMISSION — EXIT
INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP
1172. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Mental Health:
I refer to the parliamentary secretary's
answer to my question without notice 1102, asked on 7 November 2018, in which
she informed the house that the minister would ask the Mental Health Commission
for advice about developing a strategy to counter the dangerous messages
emanating from workshops such as the one held by Exit International in
Karrinyup on 2 November 2018 in which suicide techniques were to be detailed.
(1) Has the
parliamentary secretary now obtained that advice?
(2) If no to (1), has the minister asked; and, if so,
when is the parliamentary secretary due to receive that advice?
(3) If yes to
(1), will the parliamentary secretary table that advice?
Hon ALANNA
CLOHESY replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Yes.
(2) Not
applicable.
(3) Yes. I table
the attached document.
