Parliamentary Questions

Question Without Notice No. 1161 asked in the Legislative Council on 16 October 2019 by Hon Ken Baston

Parliament: 40 Session: 1

HORIZON POWER — GRID-CONNECTED SOLAR APPLICATIONS — BROOME

1161. Hon KEN BASTON to the minister representing the Minister for Energy:

I refer to the recent release of grid-connected solar places on the Broome electricity grid by Horizon Power.

(1) What portion of the latest release was allocated to commercial clients?

(2) What portion of the latest release was allocated to residential clients?

Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following information has been provided to me by the Minister for Energy.

(1)–(2) Horizon Power did not allocate portions of its grid-connected solar capacity to commercial or residential customers. Horizon Power processed all applications received on a first come, first served basis; 82 were from residential customers and 100 were from commercial customers.
