BUSSELTON BYPASS–FAIRWAY DRIVE INTERSECTION
113. Hon JIM CHOWN to the minister representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the intersection of Busselton Bypass and Fairway Drive in Busselton.
(1) How many crashes have taken place at this intersection in the last 12 months?
(2) What are the crash statistics—the number and severity of crashes—at this intersection over the last five years to December 2017?
(3) What progress has been made on developing the proposed roundabout for this intersection?
(4) When will this roundabout be completed?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question.
(1) For the period from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2017 two crashes have been recorded at the intersection of Bussell Highway and Fairway Drive.
(2) For the period from 1 January 2013 to 31 December 2017 30 crashes have been recorded at the intersection of Bussell Highway and Fairway Drive.
(3) Main Roads is progressing design and preconstruction activities for a roundabout at the intersection of Bussell Highway and Fairway Drive.
(4) Funding for this project will be considered as part of the future budgetary process.
