Parliamentary Questions

Question Without Notice No. 461 asked in the Legislative Council on 23 August 2017 by Hon Tjorn Sibma

Parliament: 40 Session: 1

LOTTERYWEST — CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
      461. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I refer to the interview by Oliver Peterson of 6PR with the Premier on 22 August 2017. In answer to questions posed concerning Mr Paul Andrew, the Premier responded concerning documents obtained through the freedom of information process and said ''some of those documents were incorrect''.
(1) Which of the FOI documents obtained were incorrect?
(2) What precisely was the incorrect information?
(3) Did the incorrect information relate to the substance of the FOI documents?
      (4) If the documents were incorrect, is it the case that the Public Sector Commissioner has incorrectly recorded his conversations with the Premier?
(5) If (4) is correct, does the Premier have confidence in the Public Sector Commissioner?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(3) Document 23 contains a reference to a meeting of Mr Mal Wauchope and Ms Heather Zampatti on 16 March. This is incorrect and should have read 23 March. This fact was conveyed to the member in a letter from the Public Sector Commission dated 21 August 2017.
(4) No; it related to a conversation with Ms Heather Zampatti, not the Premier.
(5) I have full confidence in the Public Sector Commissioner.
