Treasurer:
My question without notice of which several sorts of notice
have been given is to the minister representing the Treasurer. I am told there
is an answer; we will see what it is.
(1) Did the
digital capacity fund, the softwood plantation expansion fund or the climate
action fund exist as at 4 April 2022?
(2) If yes,
which ones existed, and when were they opened?

I answer on behalf of the minister representing. I thank the
member for some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided
to me by the Treasurer.
(1)–(2)
The digital capability fund was opened on 11 August 2021 and the softwood
plantation expansion account was opened on 16 December 2021. However, these
accounts were not included in the 24 special purpose accounts reported in answers to question without notice 295 on 7 April
2022 and question without notice 346 on 10 May 2022 because they had not
commenced operating. The climate action fund was established on 19 May 2022,
reflecting the timing of the first expected drawdown from the account. I note that this information was also provided in the
Treasurer's response to Legislative Assembly budget estimates supplementary information A8, which the honourable
member even referred to in his preamble to questions without notice 499
and 524 on 14 June 2022.
