Question Directed to the: Minister for Environment representing the Minister for Corrective Services
Parliament: 40 Session: 1

Question

I refer to the Target 120 Plan to target juvenile crime, and I ask:

(a) does the Minister intend Target 120 to be co-designed;
(b) if yes to (a), which agencies and organisations will be involved in the co-design process;
(c) if no to (a), why not;
(d) which organisations or individuals have been consulted in the development of Target 120;
(e) if no consultation has been undertaken in the development of Target 120, why not; and
(f) when does the Government intend Target 120 to commence?
Answered on 31 October 2017

The Department of Justice advises the State Government has committed to Target 120 (T120), working with the families of the State’s 120 highest priority young people in contact with the youth justice system before they reach the point of entering custody.

The Department of Communities is the lead agency for T120, any questions regarding this initiative should be directed to the Minister for Communities.
