Minister for Police:
I refer to the Police Air Wing and
specifically its three planes: (a) Pilatus PC-12, registration VH-WPY; (b)
Pilatus PC-12, registration VH-WPQ; and (c) Gippsland Airvan, registration
VH-WPF.
(1) When was each plane last flown?
(2) Is each plane currently ready
for use?
(3) If no to (2), which planes are not
currently ready for use and why not?
(4) If no to (2), when will those
currently unready planes be ready for service?

I thank the Leader of the
Opposition for some notice of the question. The following information has been
provided to me by the Minister for Police.
The Western Australia Police Force
has access to additional air support, including on a contracted basis, as well
as the three planes referred to by the honourable member.

(3) (a) It is undergoing a 24-month
service and inspection and repaint.
�(b) Not applicable.
�(c) It is currently used for pilot
and crew training only.
(4) (a) It is scheduled for the week commencing 30 August
2021.

commencing 16 August 2021.
