Question Without Notice No. 876 asked in the Legislative Council on 29 November 2017 by Hon Donna Faragher
Parliament: 40 Session: 1
STATEWIDE SERVICES CENTRE — STAFF
876. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Minister for Education and Training:
I refer to the Department of Education's statewide services centre based in Padbury.
(1) Will the minister advise the number of employees, by headcount, currently working from the centre and provide a breakdown of those staff according to service?
(2) Will there be any reduction in the number of staff working from the centre from 2018?
(3) If yes to (2), what is the anticipated number of employees, by headcount, and a breakdown of those staff according to service from 2018?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) The number of employees is provided as FTE, as an accurate headcount cannot be provided within the time frame. Not all of these employees are physically located at the Padbury site: statewide services administration, 6.0 FTE; teaching and learning services, 92.0 FTE; student support services, 65.2 FTE; and schools of special educational needs, 466.64 FTE. The total is 629.84 FTE.
(2)–(3) The processes associated with the voluntary targeted severance scheme are currently being implemented and the answer to this question can be provided on Tuesday, 5 December 2017.
