CAPE RANGE NATIONAL PARK AND NINGALOO MARINE PARK
13. Hon KEN BASTON to the Minister for Environment:
Could the minister please supply the following records in relation to Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Marine Park for the financial year 2016–2017: total visitor numbers and entry fees collected; total number of people camping and camping fees collected; total number of people who swam with whale sharks on a tour hosted by a commercial operator; and the total revenue collected from issuing T-class licences and E-class licences for activities in these parks?

Cape Range National Park: 2016–17—approximate number of visits, 286 600; entry fee revenue, $383 570; number of camper nights, approximately 57 000; camping revenue, $569 556; E-class licence revenue, $14 966; and T-class licence revenue, $29 451.
Ningaloo Marine Park: 2016–17—number of visits, estimated in excess of 500 000; entry fee revenue, nil; commercial whale shark operations, 28 455 swimmers; E-class licence revenue, $541 006; and T-class licences, $53 460.
