Question Without Notice No. 852 asked in the Legislative Council on 28 November 2017 by Hon Peter Collier
Parliament: 40 Session: 1
852. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the Minister for Energy:
(1) Will the Warradarge wind farm be on the state's balance sheet; and, if not, why not?
(2) If no to (1), is it likely to be brought on balance sheet when changes to leasing accounting standards come into effect; and, if not, why not?
(3) If yes to (2), what year will it come on balance sheet and what is the expected net debt impact?
(4) If no to (1), will Synergy have to relinquish any operational control such as plant dispatch to ensure the Warradarge wind farm is kept off the state government's balance sheet?
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the Leader of the Opposition for some notice of the question.
(1)–(4) The Warradarge wind farm will be off balance sheet. The details of the arrangement are yet to be finalised.
