WESTLINK STATIONS — OPERATION
      655. Hon TIM CLIFFORD to the Minister for Regional Development:
(1) Will the Westlink stations continue to operate?
(2) If yes, for how long is the funding secure?
(3) If no, what will replace this service?
Hon ALANNAH MacTIERNAN replied:
(1) No, Westlink stations will not continue to operate.
(2) Not applicable.
      (3) Due to the state's budgetary pressures, it has been necessary to make a number of difficult funding decisions, including ceasing the Westlink service. Alternative means of communication, including online, will be utilised by state government agencies to communicate with regional Western Australia.
