I refer to question without notice
832, answered on 14 August 2019, about rents that are charged to police
officers utilising Government Regional Officers' Housing.
(1) For each
financial year between 2015–16 to 2019–20, what was the amount
of the maximum annual rent increase for Western
Australia police officers that was applied under the tenant rent–setting
(2) Has a decision
been made on whether an additional appropriation will be made to the WA Police
Force to cover the 21 May 2019 post-budget decision not to pass on budgeted
rent increases to police officers at a cost of $1.3 million?
(3) If yes to (2), what is that

thank the member for some notice of the question. The following answer has been
provided by the Minister for Police.
(1) The maximum
annual rent increase in 2015–16 was $10 a week; $10 a week in 2016–17,
with the balance absorbed by the WA Police Force; $30 a week in 2017–18;
$30 per week in 2018–19; and no increase in 2019–20.
