Question
I refer to the management and financing of the State government's vehicle fleet, and ask:
(a) what are the target debt levels and individual agency vehicle fleet caps for 2016-17;
(b) what will these debt levels and agency vehicle fleet caps be for 2017-18;
(c) what is the state fleet number capped at for 2016-17 and what will it be for 2017-18;
(d) for the state fleet, what are the respective numbers of passenger and commercial vehicles, and what is the estimate for 2017-18;
(e) what is the value of the state fleet for 2016-17 and what is it estimated to be in 2017-18; and
(f) what was the size of the state fleet in 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17, and what is the estimated fleet size for 2017-18?

The Department of Finance advises:
(a) $59.85 million. Individual agency fleet caps as at 2016-17 [See tabled paper No. ]
(b) Target debt levels for 2017-18 will be available once the final budget is published. Individual agency fleet caps as at 2017-18 [See tabled paper No. ]
(c) For 2016-17, excluding Water Corporation, was 9,572. For 2017-18, currently 9,529.
(d) As at July 2017, the number of active passenger vehicles was 4,030, and the number of light commercial vehicles was 5,173. By the end of 2017-18 the number of passenger vehicles is expected to be around 4,000, and the number of light commercial vehicles is expected to be around 5,130.
(e) For 2016-17 the written down value was $233.36 million. Estimated written down value for 2017-18 is $216 million.
(f) 2013-14 – 11,085; 2014-15 – 10,662; 2015-16 – 10,474; 2016-17 – 9,255. The fleet is projected to remain within the 2017-18 fleet cap.
