Answered on 12 February 2020

The Department of Education monitors student population growth in all of its schools and plans appropriate responses. The Department uses transportable classrooms to accommodate growth. Responses to long term sustained growth are subject to planning and budget processes.

1)         As at Semester 2, 2019, Rossmoyne Senior High School had a total enrolment of  2 188 students.

2)         Rossmoyne Senior High School has a total accommodation capacity of 2 148 students.

3)         Seven transportable classrooms are currently installed at Rossmoyne Senior High School.

4)         The capacity of Rossmoyne Senior High School, without transportables, is 1 948 students.

5)         The Department of Education actively monitors student population growth and residential development to determine if schools are coming under accommodation pressure and require a relieving strategy.
