METRONET
— THORNLIE–COCKBURN LINK
580. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Transport:
That is a personal best—four
and one.
I
refer to the benefit–cost ratio for the Thornlie–Cockburn Link
Metronet project, which is now running two years late.
(1) What is the full capital cost of
the project?
(2) Have any of
the funding parameters or assumptions that were used to form the McGowan
government's original funding submission changed since Infrastructure
Australia evaluated the project as having a BCR of 1.2 in late 2018?
(3) If yes to (2), which ones?
Hon SUE
ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) The estimated total cost of the
project can be found in the 2022–23 state budget papers.
(2)–(3) There have been
increased contributions from state and federal governments.
