|Question On Notice No. 1409 asked in the Legislative Council on 13 June 2018 by Hon Martin Aldridge |
Question Directed to the: Leader of the House representing the Premier
Minister responding: Hon M. McGowan
Parliament: 40 Session: 1
I refer to the answer to question on notice No. 1044, and I ask:
(a) given the Government's ban on ride sharing services and private vehicles accessing the Perth Stadium and the Premiers encouragement for the utilisation of public transport, how does the Premier access the stadium by car; and
(b) does the Premier and Ministers set a double standard by using ministerial and private vehicles to access the stadium for events?
Answered on 23 August 2018
(a)-(b): The event you are referring you was on March 3, 2018. It would be inappropriate for security reasons to outline the method of transport into a venue the size of Optus Stadium. Advice from the Dignitary Protection Unit is always taken into consideration when it comes to the Premier's travel arrangements.
