FORRESTFIELD–AIRPORT
LINK — SOIL CONTAMINATION
903. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to PFAS-contaminated soil
excavated from the Forrestfield–Airport Link and the answer to question
without notice 835 asked by me on 15 August 2019. In relation to the material
transferred to the Kenwick rail freight facility project, could the minister
provide the following.
(a) From whom did
the Public Transport Authority receive consideration for the material, exactly
how much was paid, and for what exact volume?
(b) To whom did
the PTA pay the $2 million contribution toward transport of the fill and to
exactly how much material did this payment apply?
(c) Did the PTA
or the PTA's contractor make any payment for the material received at
the Kenwick rail freight facility project?
(d) If yes to
(c), to whom was that payment made, and exactly how much was paid?
(e) What was the
volume of material for which the payment was made and was the payment for
material only or for material and transport?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
The minister has been travelling in
regional and remote Western Australia today, so she has not been able to be
contacted about an answer to this question. I am aware that honourable members
were told yesterday that she would be travelling yesterday and today, but I am
in a position to indicate that I will provide an answer to that question
tomorrow.
