Question On Notice No. 2831 asked in the Legislative Council on 19 February 2020 by Hon Martin Aldridge
Question Directed to the: Minister for Regional Development
Parliament: 40 Session: 1
Question
I refer to
question on notice 2390, and question without notice 70, in relation to the
"Provision of DPIRD capability review, develop capability review evaluation
plan, strategic logic and public value assessment, functional analysis and
final report", and I ask:
(a) please table the
‘comprehensive advice’ the Minister has received from the Department, advising
the Minister not to table the report that I seek, on the basis of Cabinet confidentiality;
(b) has the report been
presented to the Cabinet;
(c) if yes to (b), on what
date was the report presented to the Cabinet; and
(d) when does the
Minister expect to be in a position to table a redacted report, and when will
the Minister comply with section 82 of the Financial Management Act 2006 , for
refusing several requests to provide information to Parliament?
Answered on 31 March 2020
I have endeavoured to release as much of the report as is consistent with the long-term conventions around Cabinet confidentiality.
I will table a redacted version of the Capability Review Repor this week. I have been advised that the redactions are necessary to remove those aspects directly relevant to the deliberations of the Expenditure Review Committee and Cabinet.
