Question Directed to the: Leader of the House representing the Minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence
Parliament: 40 Session: 1

Question

I refer to WA Labor’s Stopping Family and Domestic Violence policy commitment to creating a central secure database accessible by information sharing between the Department of Health, Department of Local Government and Communities, Department of Child Protection and Family Support, Western Australia Police and the law courts, and I ask:

(a) on what dates has the Minister attended meetings about the creation of this database;
(b) further to (a), who was in attendance at those meetings; and
(c) what is the target date for the database to be operational?
Answered on 12 September 2017

(a – c)

The McGowan Labor Government made a strong commitment to the prevention of family and domestic violence during the election campaign. The Government is focussed on delivering its commitments and is currently working through the budget process to do so.
