Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to the now expired ''2015–2018
Youth Justice Framework Western Australia''.
(1) Does the minister intend to
develop a new overarching framework for youth justice?
(2) If yes to (1), when?
(3) If no to (1), why not?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Yes.
(2) The
Department of Justice is currently undertaking a structural realignment and
integration of services across the corrective services division, including
youth justice services. Upon completion of the realignment, an overarching
operational framework for youth justice services will be considered in
accordance with the department's strategic plan.
