ELLENBROOK RAIL LINE — 2017–18 STATE BUDGET
573. Hon COLIN TINCKNELL to the minister representing the Minister for Transport:
It was reported by the ABC's Jacob Kagi yesterday that the Minister for Transport, Hon Rita Saffioti, is insisting that the Ellenbrook train line will not be delayed.
(1) Can the minister provide details of how this is possible without any funding in the forward estimates to begin construction?
(2) How can the minister be certain of the completion date when it has been stated that a business case has not been started?
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I have not seen that question, and I have not signed off on it. It is not in my file. It possibly came in after the allotted time. My advisers will be watching this, and if the question is in, and there is an answer, I will provide it at the end of question time.
