BARBAGALLO RACEWAY — MINISTERIAL MEETINGS
      81. Hon AARON STONEHOUSE to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I thank the minister for his reply to my question without notice 8 of 13 March 2018 about his meetings with the ''We Need Our Track Back'' group, and the return of motorcycling to the Barbagallo Raceway. I specifically refer to the meeting at Dumas House on 30 January.
(1) Who was present at that meeting, and in what capacity did they attend?
(2) What agenda items, if any, were discussed during the course of that meeting?
      (3) What follow-up actions, if any, were undertaken by the minister and/or his senior staff in the days immediately following the meeting?
(4) Are any further meetings scheduled; and, if so, for what date or dates?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question, and once again offer a briefing from my staff on this matter at the member's convenience.
      (1) The attendees were: Mick Murray, MLA, Minister for Sport and Recreation; Sabine Winton, MLA, member for Wanneroo; Rick Gill, CEO, Motorcycling WA; Peter Clark, president, Motorcycling WA; Peter Doyle, CEO, Motorcycling Australia; Tracey Roberts, Mayor of the City of Wanneroo; Daniel Simms, CEO, City of Wanneroo; Rob Thomson, manager of facilities, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries; Russell Sewell, president, WA Sporting Car Club; Andrew Stachewicz, general manager, WA Sporting Car Club; Paul Castling, Motorcycle Racing Club of WA; Steve Brake, appointed engineer, WA Sporting Car Club; Kevin McWilliams, Motorcycle Racing Club of WA; Ross Verne, senior media adviser, office of the Minister for Sport and Recreation; Gordon MacMile, principal policy adviser, office of the Minister for Sport and Recreation; Emma Ramage, chief of staff, office of the Minister for Sport and Recreation; and Mark Curnow, Motor Trades Association.
      (2) The agenda items were: 1.1, introduction and agenda; 1.2, clarification of phased return; 1.3, current status of designs, data gathered and proposed track modifications; 1.4, current status of assessment of proposed design track modifications for sanctioning and event permit issue; 1.5, identification of any gaps, requirements, actions, time frames and responsibility between proposed track modifications, assessment and sanctioning; 1.6, update on preparation of track guidelines; and, 2, time frames for follow-up.
      (3) The following actions were facilitated by my office. I will table the attached document, which is a copy of the minutes of the meeting. There is a table of numbered actions and deadlines, so I will table that and the notes from the meeting that were attached.
