I refer to the $6 million local
government partnership fund for homelessness announcement. How many homeless
beds is the program expected to deliver for each year over the next five years?

I thank the member for some notice
of the question. I provide the following answer on behalf of the Minister for
Community Services.
The
Department of Communities is supporting local government initiatives through
the local government partnership fund for homelessness to respond to and
prevent homelessness. The fund does not prescribe a specific number of beds; it
gives local governments the opportunity to design and to deliver responses
tailored to respond to the needs of the local community.
