ELLENBROOK RAIL LINE — STATIONS

687. Hon TIM CLIFFORD to the minister representing the Minister for Transport:

I refer to the locations of the five new stations along the proposed Morley–Ellenbrook line at Morley, Noranda, Malaga, Whiteman Park and Ellenbrook.

For each of the station locations proposed, how many residences are located within a radius of —

(a) one kilometre;

(b) two kilometres; and

(c) five kilometres?

Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided by the Minister for Transport.

(a) The number of residences located within a one-kilometre radius of the stations are 1 989 for Ellenbrook, 475 for Malaga, 3 644 for Morley, 3 082 for Noranda and 444 for Whiteman Park.

(b)–(c) The data for the number of residences located within a two or five-kilometre radius is unable to be provided within the time frame requested. Therefore, I ask the honourable member to place this portion of the question on notice.
