I refer to education assistants and Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers (AIEO) working in Western Australian public schools, and I ask, will the Minister provide a breakdown, by FTE and headcount, of the following positions as at 30 June 2014, 30 June 2015, 30 June 2016 and 30 June 2017:
(a) Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers (AIEO);
(b) Education Assistant (Mainstream);
(c) Education Assistant (Special Needs L3);
(d) Education Assistant (Special Needs L2);
(e) Education Assistant (Behaviour Centre);
(f) Education Assistant (Braille);
(g) Education Assistant (AUSLAN);
(h) Education Assistant (Ethnic); and
(i) Education Assistant - other not listed above?

- FTE and headcount figures are as at a point in time, being the closest pay date to the date requested (30 June of the requested years).
- FTE levels and head count will fluctuate from pay period to pay period.
- FTE figures include casual and non-casual staff.
- Headcount figures do not include casual staff and may therefore be lower than the FTE figure.
2. The average financial year FTE is the average paid FTE for the financial year. As the figure is an average it may be higher than the FTE and headcount figure as at 30 June.
- Education Assistant (Special Needs L3) and (Special Needs L2) are shown to reflect existing classifications of Education Assistant (Special Needs Level 3) and Education Assistant (Special Needs Level 2/3).
- Education Assistant (Behaviour Centre) are shown as Education Assistant (Engagement Centres).
- Education Assistant – Other includes Special Needs – Lead, Special Needs L1/2 and Bus Wardens.
