791. Hon PETER COLLIER to the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Health:

I refer to the government's inquiry into procurement practices in the North Metropolitan Health Service.

(1) How many inquiries is the government currently undertaking?

(2) Will the inquiries look more broadly at procurement practices in the Department of Health; and, if not, why not?

(3) Which agencies or departments are undertaking the inquiries?

(4) Will the minister table the terms of reference for all inquiries being undertaken; and, if not, why not?

Hon ALANNA CLOHESY replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. I am advised of the following.

(1) There is one.

(2) Yes.

(3) It is the Public Sector Commission.

(4) The terms of reference are currently being drafted by the Public Sector Commission. When this process is complete, we will seek advice on whether it is appropriate to do so.
