Parliamentary Questions

Question Without Notice No. 469 asked in the Legislative Council on 23 August 2017 by Hon Peter Collier

Parliament: 40 Session: 1

DEPARTMENT OF THE PREMIER AND CABINET — STAFF
      469. Hon PETER COLLIER to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Public Sector Management:
(1) What is the total number of permanent public servants in each ministerial office as of today?
      (2) What is the total number of term-of-government employees in each ministerial office as of today?
      (3) Has any correspondence been provided to permanent public servants in ministerial offices since the 11 March election, encouraging them to voluntarily relinquish their positions, thus placing them on the supernumerary list?
(4) If yes to (3), will the minister table that correspondence; and, if not, why not?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
      (1) The total number of permanent public servants employed by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and working in a ministerial office is listed by minister in tabular form, so I seek leave to have that part of the answer incorporated into Hansard.
