ELDER ABUSE — DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITIES
430. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Seniors and Ageing:
I refer to the government's commitment to identify a lead agency to take overall responsibility for the coordination of the response to elder abuse.
(1) Has this been done?
(2) If yes to (1), which agency has been identified?
(3) Further to (2), when was this lead agency identified?
Hon SUE ELLERY replied:
I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Yes.
(2) The state government has decided that the Department of Communities will be the lead agency.
(3) On 29 May 2017.
