WARREN RIVER CATCHMENT —
LEFROY BROOK
109. Hon DIANE EVERS to the minister representing the
Minister for Water:
I refer to Lefroy Brook within the
Warren River catchment.
(1) Is the Lefroy Brook and/or the
upper Lefroy catchment fully allocated?
(2) If yes to (1), what year did
they become fully allocated?
(3) How many licence applications
have been refused since 2016?
(4) How many licences have been
approved since 2016?
(a) When were they approved and for
which area—upper or lower Lefroy Brook?
(b) What amounts were approved under
each licence?
(c) If licences were approved in
fully allocated areas, why were they approved?
Hon DARREN
WEST replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. I provide the following answer on behalf of the
minister representing the Minister for Water.
(1) Yes, areas are fully allocated.
(2) Upper Lefroy
became fully allocated in 2010 for general entitlements and in 2017 for
variable take entitlements. Lefroy Brook
became fully allocated in 2016. Variable take was not available in Lefroy
Brook.
(3) There were three in upper Lefroy
and two in Lefroy Brook.
(4) From 1 January 2016, 16 have been approved for upper
Lefroy and six for Lefroy Brook.
