CORONAVIRUS — VACCINATIONS
— POLICE
950. Hon PETER COLLIER to
the minister representing the Minister for Police:
I refer the minister to his response
to questions without notice 926 and 937 asked on Wednesday, 10 November.
(1) Have all 316
police officers who are not fully vaccinated received a medical exemption or a temporary
exemption?
(2) If no to (1), what is the reason
that they are not fully vaccinated?
(3) Have all 192
police staff, not police officers, who are not fully vaccinated received a medical
exemption or a temporary exemption?
(4) If no to (3), what is the reason
that they are not fully vaccinated?
Hon
STEPHEN DAWSON replied:
I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following information has been provided to me
by the Minister for Police.
(1)–(4) The
Western Australia Police Force advises that the information is not available.
Note that the agency has not been provided with evidence of exemptions from the
Australian Immunisation Register or the Chief Health Officer at this time. It
is anticipated that the directions under the Western Australian Public Health Act 2016 will require employees who work in
premises specified in the direction to provide evidence of their
vaccination status to their employer and also require employers to collect and
maintain records of those employees' vaccination status.
