FORRESTFIELD–AIRPORT LINK — SOIL
CONTAMINATION
592. Hon Dr STEVE THOMAS to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to my questions of recent
months on PFAS-contaminated soil excavated from the Forrestfield–Airport
Link project.
(1) Has the
minister or any of the minister's staff met with or had telephone
discussions with the commercial officer of the Peel Development Commission, Ms Lisa
Taylor, in the last 12 months?
(2) If yes to (1), who initiated
the meetings or discussions and what was the nature of the contact?
(3) Has the
minister or any of the minister's staff discussed with Ms Taylor in any
form the potential disposal of PFAS-contaminated soil excavated from the
Forrestfield–Airport Link at any location?
(4) If yes to (3), which locations
for disposal were discussed?
(5) Did any of those locations
include the Peel region?
Hon SUE
ELLERY replied:
On behalf of the Minister for
Environment, I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
