STATE TENNIS CENTRE

139. Hon PETER COLLIER to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Sport and Recreation:

(1) Has the minister or any of his staff met with any representatives of Tennis West to discuss the potential relocation of the State Tennis Centre?

(2) If yes to (1), when did the meeting or meetings take place and who attended?

(3) Does the government have any intention of moving the State Tennis Centre from its current location at Burswood?

(4) If yes to (3), what alternative location or locations is the government considering?

(3)–(4) The location of the State Tennis Centre is a matter for Tennis West. However, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries is currently working with Tennis West on a business case to identify site options and the long-term infrastructure needs of a State Tennis Centre for Tennis West.
