Question Without Notice No. 1034 asked in the Legislative Council on 19 September 2019 by Hon Peter Collier

Parliament: 40 Session: 1

METRONET — RAILWAY LEVEL CROSSINGS

1034. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the Minister for Transport:

I refer to the McGowan government's Metronet project. What is the indicative cost of each of the Oats Street, Wharf Street, Mint Street, Welshpool Road, Hamilton Street and William Street level crossing removals?

Hon STEPHEN DAWSON replied:

I thank the Leader of the Opposition for some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me by the Minister for Transport.

The 2019–20 state budget committed a total of $415 million towards the removal of the Oats Street, Mint Street and Welshpool Road level crossings. Planning is also underway for the removal of level crossings at Wharf Street, Hamilton Street and William Street.
